I started reading Legends & Lattes because it combines my two favorite things: fantasy and food. I figured the book may lead me to some ideas for recipes, and I was pleasantly surprised by quite how much I adored Thimble - a humanoid mouse who does most of the baking throughout the book. Tress of the Emerald Sea is set in Lumar, a captivating addition to Brandon Sanderson's beloved Cosmere universe. It introduces readers to the charming Tress, a young window washer with a passion for collecting cups, baking pies, and listening to stories told by her friend Charlie. As a lover of both literature and baking pies, […]

My name is Rudee, and I'm a Las Vegas and Montana-based home cook. I’m also a huge fan of fantasy novels, TV shows, movies, and video games - and my style of cooking is heavily influenced by those things. Many of the original recipes you’ll learn to make on this site are items I imagine could be served in a medieval inn: pies of all sorts, stews, and hearty platters ready for a feast. I also create real-world versions of foods from some of my favorite fantasy universes. If you’re not a fantasy geek, don’t worry! These dishes are designed to satisfy even the most discerning modern palates.
